Canadians think they are spending about 68% of their time indoors, but the reality is they are spending 90% of their time indoors without enough daylight or fresh air. We don’t think much about it, but science is showing this habit is harmful to our health and wellbeing.
Everyday items like building materials, cleaning products, toys, and plastics contribute to indoor air pollution, which can lead to headaches, dizziness, fatigue and itchy eyes, respiratory diseases, and asthma while lack of sunlight can trigger SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), disrupt sleep patterns and negatively affect your mood.
