Are you a Drama Queen? Save it for Shakespeare, My Lady!
Do you find yourself complaining about being busy and overwhelmed? Does every passing germ turn your household into the plague? Does it seem like everyone and everything conspires against you? Do you seek out misery and tragedy?
You my lovely lady are a Drama Queen!
Who me? Um…well…if the Royal Drama Crown fits My Lady…
Don’t turn the revelation into a reason to swoon or get the vapors – just acknowledge the habit and work on ditching the drama!
#1: Beat the Busy-ness – We create our own chaos people by either being unprepared or taking on too much. Feeling overwhelmed is a sign that something needs to change – do more to prepare or rethink your task list.
#2: Germs Happen – Stock your medicine cabinet and give yourself permission for a bit of me-time. Remember: getting sick is your body’s way of saying slow down!
#3: Take Responsibility – Yes, your Royal Highness, the world owes you nothing. Take responsibility for what you create and stop blaming other people for your misfortunes.
#4: Misery LOVES Company – But don’t you be that company. Jumping into other peoples’ drama is the ultimate distraction from what you should be doing – living YOUR life. Offer support without diving in.
#5: Turn your Tale of Tragedy into a Success Story – Stop it with the “Woe is me” nonsense. How you tell your tale matters – even if it’s just self-talk. Imagine how you are going to tell it in front of an audience of thousands!
Momentum Monday Challenge: Take notice of when you are stepping into the role of the Drama Queen and look for the underlying cause of the Royal Crown.

LOL! Yeah, I think we're all guilty of this on occasion, myself included. It's always good to be reminded to keep it in check. Think I'll print this one out and keep it by my desk!
