    From the Ground Up: The NFL and P&G Team Up to Tackle Childhood Obesity

    Every once in a while you have the chance to witness something remarkable. This is just one of those stories.

    It likely won’t surprise you when I tell you that childhood obesity is a problem in this country. But there are some pretty powerful people working to combat this epidemic by encouraging kids to just get out and play. The NFL’s Play60 Campaign believes that getting kids outside for at least 60 minutes a day can be the beginning….

    This week, the NFL and sponsor Procter & Gamble took action as part of a Community Blitz in Oahu, as many NFL players are preparing for the ProBowl. More than 250 people, including a number of players built a playground in just one day…..

    In addition to this playground build, the Community Blitz included football and cheerleading camps at three military bases and a Special Olympics event.
