It was not hard to fall in love with this small purple blue fruit from the Brazilian rainforest. The Acai Berry (pronounced “ah-sigh-ee) is a true delicious gift with a mild berry flavor with a hint of chocolate.
Why acai berries? They have a low sugar content, packed with vitamins and minerals, and boast high levels of antioxidants (they have twice as many as the blueberry!).
Treat Your Taste Buds to a Frozen Acai Berry Treat!
The easiest way to spoil your body and taste buds is by purchasing the frozen pulp packs and making a smoothie or popsicle. They are available in local stores (even Costco) and health food stores and although pricy, a little goes a long. You may also use the powder from because finding the actual acai berries will be difficult unless you are in Brazil!
